Summerset’s philosophy and focus is to develop a positive learning environment and a sense of team while focusing on the needs of the horse and rider. We want to create an atmosphere of mutual encouragement, respect and communication. The exchanging of ideas and team building, while incorporating fun, creative lessons and activities, are encouraged. Lessons will concentrate on both horse and rider by means of individualized lessons geared for the horse and rider’s appropriate skill level. We want to give the rider a better understanding of horse behavior and their own tendencies and how that affects the bio-mechanics of both themselves and the horse. This understanding will make them critical thinkers and better riders and as a result benefit their horses.

- Due to the size of the horses in the program, we cannot accept anyone over 200lbs.
Can I take a tour and ask questions about the program?
- YES! In fact we encourage you to stop out to see the facility and ask any questions you have about the program before you commit to any lessons. Contact Carly to set up a tour.

Are horses safe?
- We have a lovely string of horses in our program that are suitable for beginners. But it's important to know that horses do have a mind of their own and are never considered 100% safe.
